Tel Aviv-Jaffa

Let’s walk the wonders of the wicked city

We are happy to offer our guests the chance to take in the sounds, smells, and sights of this world-class city. We hope you can appreciate the humor of our city being both over 5,000 years old, in Jaffa, and yet only 110 years young, in Tel Aviv. This irony was not lost on Theodore Herzl when he named his famous novel, Altneuland, meaning old new land, which would also make Tel Aviv the only city in the world named after a book.

Take in the wonders of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, with your guide alongside you and a sense of discovery revealed with every step. This full-day walking tour starts with young Tel Aviv as we stroll the famous Rothschild Boulevard, take in the charming Neve Zedek neighborhood, and make our way around the historical sites of the White City.

Along the way, we include strategic stops at the Shalom Tower exhibition, a visit to the Jews of Aden Museum, and a few of our favorite hidden places that help bring the story of the city to life.

From here, we head over to Jaffa for an Ottoman and Arabesque tour that paints the appropriate contrast to modern Tel Aviv. Together, we take in the views from the wonderfully unique Ilana Goor Museum, the charm of the flea market and the shuk, and the experience of wandering these ancient alleyways, which remain one of our favorite places to travel.

This old-world/new-world glimpse into the days before modernity arrived in the Middle East is how we paint the picture throughout our tours, allowing our guests to grasp this contrasting point of view and enjoy the dynamic nature of this wonderful land.
